In the Northwest there are hundreds (this is not a joke) of bridal shows we could attend every year. The reality of event lighting, similar to videography, is that static images don’t effectively communicate the impact of our our ability to help create an amazing event space. To really allow our potential clients to experience what we do, and the difference that it makes, it is best to see it in action!
On February 17th we partnered with Cindy Rosen of Encore Events who coordinated with Barclay event rentals, Food In Bloom, Event Team Entertainment, AK Cake Design, Erica Ann Photography, Bloomsberry Floral and Puddle Jumpin’ Cards at Portland Bride & Groom’s “Rocked,” a couture bridal event. The Nines Ballroom was separated into three spaces where three separate planners tackled the challenge of creating entirely unique designs. With Cindy and our fantastic team of wedding vendors,we executed a “Modern Venetian” theme that, might we say, was “bellissimo!” Okay, that’s Italian, but it’s at close to Venetian as we’re getting right now.
In a large space, like the ballroom at The Nines, there is a lot to work with and we utilized every inch of the walls, a small sample ceremony space created by Barclay, and the ceiling to set the mood while accenting the gorgeous Venetian inspired architecture of the space…yes, that’s why lighting is awesome! Ceilings are essentially neglected by most other décor options, especially ones that are 18+ feet tall. In addition to uplighting and pinspotting we utilized custom gobos to project a pattern on the ceiling allowing the theme to swallow every inch of the space and transform it!
